Pinoy Recipe Beef Kaldereta

Ingredients:

1 1/2 lbs beef, cut into chunks
1/2 onion, minced
5 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 cup soy sauce
1 cup tomato sauce
1 red pepper, quartered
3 potatoes, quartered
1 carrot, quartered
5 cups water
1 pack crackers
salt
pepper
cooking oil

How to cook beef kaldereta:

1. In a casserole, sauté garlic and onion in oil.
2. Add in the beef. Stir fry for 2-3 minutes.
3. Then add the soy sauce.
4. Add the water then the tomato sauce.
5. Bring to a boil until the beef is tender.
6. Add the potatoes and carrot.
7. Then the red pepper.
8. Salt and pepper to taste.
9. Add the crushed crackers. Simmer for 2-3 minutes or until the sauce thickens.
10. Serve with steamed rice.
